Become a Community Connector

Community Connectors are the people who keep the notebook honest: volunteers across Buckeye who share recommendations, flag events, answer newcomers' questions, and feed local intelligence back into the publication. It is a few minutes a week, it is unpaid by design, and it is the difference between a website and a community.

Share what you know

Recommend the businesses you actually use, tip us off to openings and closings, and correct us when we get a detail wrong.

Flag the calendar

Markets, fundraisers, school events, and park nights: if it is happening in Buckeye, a connector hears about it first.

Answer newcomers

Pass on the questions you hear, from "which school?" to "where do I get the good tortillas?" They become the next guides.

Join the conversation

A community discussion layer is coming, and connectors will be its first regulars, bridging what people say with what the notebook publishes.

What we ask of connectors

  • Accuracy over volume: only pass on what you know or can verify.
  • Independence: no paid promotion, no soliciting businesses on our behalf.
  • Consistency: a few good notes a month beats a burst that burns out.

Introduce yourself

Tell us which parts of Buckeye you know best and what kind of notes you enjoy passing along.

Connecting is volunteer work and stays that way. We will reply personally, and joining never involves fees, tiers, or obligations to promote anything.
